Very helpful staff and the location was good without being in the thick of tourists
Rooms are pretty small, but that's Venice!
Really nice staff especially Emanuelle.
That it's in the center of city, with easy access to the main parts of the city.
Outside noise was kept out with an extra thick windows. Bathroom was nice with marble tile. Female staff member was great. The other, male, staff were mostly rude and unaccomodating.
WiFi - Worked only in the main reception area. Connectivity was very flaky. The clerk did not want to fix the problem. I convinced him to power cycle the wireless router and it started working. Tv - cable from the wall to the tv was damaged. We only received around 4 channels on average without wiggling around the tv and cable. Air conditioner - set to full blast (per the staff) barely cooled the room. Breakfast - the beverages tasted burnt, even the hot cocoa. Dining - we weren't allowed to eat any meals besides breakfast in the dining area--said they didn't want to clean up. Staff was also very noisy in the kitchen. So, you could sleep in through breakfast, but not the clean up afterwards. Laundry - No laundry services offered; impossible to have anything ironed in anything but the largest hotels.
Hotel staff was ver plesant.
Great place, especially considering we got a last minute deal on the rate. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly...Dario was awesome and gave us some great laughs along with ample suggestions. The room was very quiet, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful with a big tub for baths. Breakfast was very good, and the location is excellent; about 5 minutes to the Realto Bridge, if you don't get lost, and 10 minutes to the train station.
Nothing really...there was a 3 year old that cried from 6am to 730am one morning, but that wasn't the hotel's fault. :)
Great location, loads of hot water, very clean rooms and great breakfast!
Rooms near the breakfast area could be noisy
The hotel is old-fashioned in style, fitting in with the ambience of Venice. It was easy to find and in the real part of Venice, rather than where most the hotels were. The room was comfortable, and very dark, so I had a few good night's sleep. The location was good, a short walk from the main tourist attractions of Venice, but not in the commercial district. The staff were able to recommend some good nearby authentic trattoria's and restaurents.
The breakfast is very Italian, in that so long as you like cappucino's and pastries your'e fine. The rest of the selection was less than I'm used to in your average hotel, but I've noticed that Italian hotels are not bit on breakfast.
It's central location; 15 min. walking to/from public transportation hub, Plazale Roma, and Plazza S. Marco/Lido as well as all other localhighlights. Get yourself a very detailed map.
It's 'straight up' entrance steps; with luggage, a backbreaker. I am sure that the staff will help, if you ask.
Small friendly hotel, with a really big spacious room. Close enough to the centre to make it easy to walk everywhere, whilst far enough away to avoid the worst of the crowds/noise.
It certainly had a charm the represented the age of the hotel. The employees could not have been more accommodating. The food on the breakfast was excellent. The location was great to be in Venice.
Walking up about 20 stairs to the main lobby with all your luggage is not for the faint of heart. Also the wireless internet never did work. We met others with the same problem, so we knew it wasn't just us.
The room is big and comfortable. The WiFi connection is good. The location is good, 15 minutes walking from the railway station. The staff is friendly.
No window in my room. It seems some other rooms have a real window. But in my room it is a fake one. It is wall behind the window. However, this doe not impact us much. It worth the money.
Wonderful location right in the middle of a residential area, walking distance to everything. You really feel like your in Venice at this hotel!! Really helpful staff! Small quiet hotel! Fantastic value for money!
Breakfast was very boring but in Italy you only get nice breakfast in big four star hotels so nothing unusual! (Coffee was fantastic though) Great overall no complaints!
The staff were welcoming, warm, attentive, and fun. Great place, super easy to get to from the San Lucia Train Station (we bought a map and reviewed our walking route with at the tourist information office in the train station).
The staff was friendly service excellent and it is great value for money
I like a cooked breakfast but you get contintal
